Poems about heartbreak

The continent will still drift

and the skies will still spew.

The sun won't rise any faster

and the moon will follow relaxed

The beauty of life will continue

to flourish all around,

but now you are gone,

these birds have no sound.

And my heart does not beat.

Quiet inside my chest.

My tears falling

and my head, my head unrested

But I have limited options

Only to move through this life.

Endlessly attempting

to fill this unexpected gap left
